American Film Entertainment was founded by Ron Blank in the Texas Hill Country. He as produced the feature films Pice de Gallo, Human Gravity, and Dust. Ron has produced adventure videos in Africa and New Zealand. An intrepid resolve has led Ron from the plains of Africa to the exotic markets of Thailand, from the Australian outback to the coral reefs of Belize. Ron enjoys white water rafting, fishing, hunting, and surfing.
Brad is an award winning writer, producer, and director of feature films, music videos, and documentaries. Brad graduated with a Master’s degree in Film Production from the University of Miami. He enjoyed a successful career in the entertainment business in Los Angelaes and now produces projects in the Pacific Northwest. Movie-making has taken him from the jungles of Panama to the pampas of Argentina, from the tribal villages of Africa to the alps of New Zealand.
Tara has produced several award winning feature films and documentaries. Tara received a PhD in Biology from the University of North Texas. She developed education programs about environmental and health related issues. Tara has worked closely with architects, sustainable design professionals, scientists, and environmental advocates on various projects.
Nathan has served as a camera operator on numerous feature films, music videos, and documentaries. He has acted in television series and feature films, and provided voice over talent for many projects. Nate is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys surfing, mountain climbing, and kayaking.
The design team at the DPR Phoenix Regional Headquarters tell their stories through a series of interviews and building video tours. The DPR Phoenix Regional Headquarters achieved LEED Platinum certification under LEED NC 2009 rating system, and received one of the first Net-Zero Energy certifications from the International Living Future Institute.
A new Music and Science complex was added to the Hood River Middle School in 2010, earning LEED Platinum certification. Through a series of interviews with the school faculty and the design team, we explore the creation of a net-zero energy building that complements the children’s studies of the balance of nature.
